Mindfulness and Movement Start at Highland

Highland started using mindfulness and movement everyday in the classroom as a way to teach students how to calm their mind and bodies so that they are ready to learn and succeed.  Students use either morning time, or time later in the day to spend about 10 minutes learning deep breathing, relaxation, yoga, and other movement.  Teachers report that it really does help calm them and helps them to focus on their tasks for the day.
