Highland Elementary Students Shine in “Pirates 2: The Hidden Treasure”

On the evening of May 5, 2025, Highland Elementary’s auditorium was transformed into the high seas, as 4th and 5th grade students set sail in their spirited performance of Pirates 2: The Hidden Treasure. With eye patches, tricorn hats, and a hearty “Arrr!”, these young performers wowed the audience with their talent, enthusiasm, and heart.

The musical comedy followed a band of adventurous and silly pirates in search of treasure to help fix their ship after it broke apart during a storm—but what they discovered was far more valuable than gold. Through catchy songs, clever dialogue, and laugh-out-loud moments, the students brought to life a story that reminded everyone in the room that the greatest treasure of all is friendship.

From perfectly timed pirate jokes to impressive choreography, it was clear how much hard work and teamwork went into the production. Teachers, parents, and staff beamed with pride as students showcased their acting, singing, and dancing skills, all while demonstrating the power of collaboration and creativity.

Mrs. Faust would like to thank the teachers and volunteers who helped bring this production to life, and to the families who supported their young stars every step of the way.

Bravo to our 4th and 5th grade pirates—you reminded us all that the best treasures can’t be buried!
