On November 19th Mrs. Chimera’s sociology class visited Journey’s End Refugee Services to learn about the social and economic impact of refugees on the city of Buffalo. The students collected school supplies for refugee children and were able to bring their donations to the organization. After the visit they were given a tour of the West Side Bazaar, a Westminster Economic Development Initiative, which supports immigrant, refugee and low-income individuals pursue their dreams of small business ownership. There they were able to sample food from around the world. All of the students plan to return-they loved the food!
