Meet the Teacher

Hello! Welcome to Second Grade at Highland Elementary! My name is Traci Smardz, and I am one of the Second Grade teachers at Highland Elementary.

I am proud to say that I am a Lake Shore Central Graduate.  I attended Buffalo State College for both my Undergraduate Degree and Master’s Degree.

I will be starting my 32nd year of teaching in the Lake Shore Central School District. I started teaching as a Kindergarten teacher and throughout my career I have taught First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade, and Fourth Grade. I have taught at Hoag Elementary,  A. J. Schmidt Elementary, and Highland Elementary.  I have spent most of my teaching career here at Highland Elementary.  

In our classroom, we are the Busy Bees!  You will notice our classroom has a theme of bees. We are always busy buzzing around!
