My name is Mrs. Kristy Porter and I am a Reading Specialist/Academic Intervention Services (AIS) provider at Highland Elementary School. I received a Bachelor of Science Degrees in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. I attended Gannon University on a volleyball scholarship. After graduation, I taught third grade for four years in Pennsylvania as well as coached Varsity Volleyball, Junior Varsity Basketball and both Junior High programs. After getting married, I relocated to Hamburg, New York. Where I received my Master's Degree from Canisius College in Reading Literacy. I live in Hamburg, with my husband, and my two sons.
I have been teaching for over 20 years. I love teaching and working for such an amazing school district.
