Hello! My name is Mrs. Tara Takacs and I would like to tell you a little about myself. I received my Education Degree from Fredonia State College. I was a substitute teacher for a year in various school districts and then I taught sixth grade for two years in the Niagara Wheatfield School District. In 2000 I was hired to teach third grade in the Lake Shore School District. I started out at the William T. Hoag Elementary School and now I am here at John T. Waugh teaching fourth grade. Fourth grade is a great age and I really enjoy combining learning and fun along with the curriculum.
I live in Hamburg with my husband and three children. My husband teaches math here at Lake Shore High School. I have two sons and one daughter that go to the Hamburg Schools. I also have a dog, cat, fish, and a long-tailed lizard. I enjoy gardening, cooking, exercising, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. My life is busy right now but I am very happy!
My goal is to inspire all children to reach for their dreams and use their own special gifts to make the world a better place.
