The varsity baseball captured the ECIC Division Championship with a 15-2 romp over Maryvale. Bill Pinter, whose father Joe played for the Eagles in the 1980's, went 4-4  with a homerun and four rbi's. Ryan Joslyn won his third league victory in a darkness shortened five inning contest. It is the sixth division title for Lake Shore and second in three seasons. In the final regular season game Pinter went  3-4 and freshman Alex Whipple went 2-3 with a two-run single as Lake Shore defeated Depew 7-2.  A trio of three year starters, Christ Conley, Pinter, and junior Tyler Mascio have shown leadership and preformed well. Seniors Dane Cala and Tyler Freeman have had solid offensive seasons  and Matt Kardach  Matt Vona and Matt Brzozowiec  have been great on defense. Other contributors include: Justin Budniewski, Ryan Mancini, Jerry Yeates, Mike Hontz, and recently called up Alex Whipple. JV call ups include Cory and Collin Fuitko, Steve Budinewski, Parker Addison, Joe Bodgan, Christain Gravius, and Andrew McDonough. Many thanks to Coach Reed, a member of the 2002 division championship team!
