    Qualifications: To qualify, students must be a U.S. citizen accepted to or currently attending a college or university within the United States. The winner will be required to provide proof of acceptance to your college or university, or a college transcript.

  • AMVETS National Ladies Auxiliary

    The AMVETS National Ladies Auxiliary College Support Scholarship has been established to assist high school seniors in furthering their education and to reflect the interest and involvement of a National Service Organizeation and its members. Applications will be judged and scholarships awarded at the National Conventaion held during the month of August. A possible total of two (2) $500 scholarships may be awarded at that time.

  • George A. Braun Memorial Scholarship

    The Newcomb-Long Post 928 is awarding a $1000.00+ scholarship in remembrance of George A. Braun who was a Veteran of the Unites States ARMY during the Korean War. George was very active in The American Legion Post 928 for over 50 years. He served 9 years as Commander of our Post and was also an Erie County Chaplain. He received the Conspicuous Service Star and The Medal of Merit in May, 2009 for his service. George passed away in 2015 as a very noble and honorable man.

    The Evans Township Lions Club, Inc. will be accepting applications for two (2) scholarships this school year and in years to come.  These scholarship awards will be named “The Evans Township Lions Club, Inc. Community Service Scholarship” and will be in the amount of $750.00 each.

  • Erie County Committee of the American Legion Award

    This year the Erie COunty Convention of the American Legion will be at the American Legion Iroquois Post #360, 1 Legion Drive, East Aurora, NY on June 13, 2020 and it is expected that there will be at least two (2) awards of $500.00 presented in addition to one (1) of $500.00 which will be funded by the Past Commanders of Erie County Committee of the American Legion.

    Aurora Players proudly announces
    The Roberta Rathbun Scholarship for Theatrical Arts

    Students must be:

    • A high school senior graduating this spring
    • Pursuing theater (performance, technical or design) at an accredited institution of higher learning

    Students must submit:

    • The attached application, completed (feel free to duplicate)
    • A letter of interest/intent
    • Three sealed letters of recommendation (at least one with whom the applicant has worked with in theater)
    • Proof of acceptance to chosen institution of higher learning
    • A one page theater resume

    Among the criteria for consideration are interest in pursuing theater, related experience and apparent promise.

    Completed application packets must be postmarked on or before March 15. The decision will be made by the end of May.

    We look forward to helping a promising actor/actress achieve his/her dream.
