  • Lake View Community Association Scholarship

    The Lake View Community Association will award two (2) scholarships each year to a high school senior who will be attending college in the fall. Criterion for this scholarship shall be the applicant's contributions to our community, citizenship, and attitude, not on their average or class rank.

    Parent(s) of the applicant must reside in Lake View or be a member of the Lake View Community Association. The student receiving the scholarship must be registered for a full-time program at any institution of higher learning.

  • 2019-2020 Young Achievers Scholarship Program

    The Young Achievers Scholarship Program awards college scholarships to high school students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community, or the workplace.


    Applicants must:


    1. Be United States citizens and residents of Erie, Genesee or Niagara County in New York State.
    2. Be high school students who are graduating in 2020, 2021 or 2022 and plan on enrolling full-time into an accredited two-year or four-year college or university in the United States.
    3. Demonstrate ambition and motivation in school and in the community.
    4. Communicate why going to college will add value to their life.

  • George A. Braun Memorial Scholarship

    The Newcomb-Long Post 928 is awarding a $1000.00+ scholarship in remembrance of George A. Braun who was a Veteran of the Unites States ARMY during the Korean War. George was very active in The American Legion Post 928 for over 50 years. He served 9 years as Commander of our Post and was also an Erie County Chaplain. He received the Conspicuous Service Star and The Medal of Merit in May, 2009 for his service. George passed away in 2015 as a very noble and honorable man.

  • The Cobell Scholarship

    Administered by Indigenous Education Inc., this scholarship for the academic year 2019-20 is awarded to tribally enrolled American Indian and Alaska Native students. Students must have a competitive GPA and plan to attend college full time at a public or private nonprofit institution. Finalists are selected on merit, leadership, and community engagement, but all final awards are based on financial need.

  • Annual Scholarship for Braille Readers

    The Braille Group of Buffalo, Inc. offers an annual scholarship for Braille readers. Scholarship money is available for visually impaired students whose primary reading media is Brailler and whose residence is in one of the counties of Western New York. Your home zip code must begin with 14---. Scholarship money may be used to offset expenses students may encounter as they continue their studies beyond high school.

  • Lake Shore Federal Credit Union Scholarship

    The Lake Shore Federal Credit Union will offer their 12th annual $1,000.00 Scholarship. This scholarship will be presented to a student who has demonstrated academic proficiency and may have financial needs as well. Student must be a member of the Credit Union to qualify.
