    Letter of recommendations are typically required for college/university applications, sometimes scholarships, and future employment.

  • HOW MANY TO REQUEST:

    1.) Students typically request to seek out 2 to 3 recommenders.


    WHO TO ASK:

    1.) Please communicate to your "Letter of Recommender" first that you would like them to write a "Letter of Recommendation" for your application. You may ask teachers, school counselors, coaches, community members, organization leaders (Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts) etc, church organizations or employers.

    2.) Special Note: If you are applying to college to major in science it would be wise to ask one of your science teachers etc. Make sure you think wisely about your choices.


    THE PROCESS:

    1.) Please allow 3 weeks for the recommender to write your "Letter of Recommendation."

    2.) The recommender will email the "Letter of Recommendation" to the High School Counseling Center Secretary. This will then be processed and sent to your colleges/scholarships etc.


    DIRECTIONS:

    1.) Complete the "Letter of Recommendation Form" to give to your recommender, so they can use this information in writing your "Letter of Recommendation" (Link is below).

    2.) Once you complete the "Letter of Recommendation Form", you may email the form to your recommender or you can hand deliver the form.
