The Lake Shore High School Art Department is pleased to announce that two of our very talented art students, Christopher Beckley and Brandon Mawk, just received notice that they were accepted into the New York State Summer School of the Arts (NYSSSA). This is a highly competitive program, with students from all over the state vying for placements in the 4-week long intensive residential art program. Our students will attend day-long classes and work in art studios at State University of New York (SUNY) Fredonia, live in the dorms, and experience campus life. They will be instructed by professors and highly renowned exhibiting artists from the professional art world. We are excited that they will be able to experience this amazing opportunity, develop their artistic skills, and represent Lake Shore at this prestigious program.
