Lake Shore Recognized as Data Privacy Week Champion

Lake Shore Central School District has been recognized as a Data Privacy Week Champion by the National Cybersecurity Alliance, a national nonprofit dedicated to online safety and privacy education.
Data Privacy Week takes place January 26–30, 2026 and is a national effort to raise awareness about how personal information is collected, shared, and protected online. As part of this recognition, Lake Shore will share daily tips and trusted resources throughout the week to help families make informed choices about their personal data.
The focus of the week is awareness and education. Topics will include understanding how data is used, reviewing privacy settings, practicing safe online habits, and making small changes that can help protect personal information over time.
Daily messages will be shared through district communication channels and will feature resources from the National Cybersecurity Alliance designed for families and community members.
