Hazing Defined - Protocol
Hazing Awareness & Prevention
Maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all Eagles.
What is Hazing?
"Hazing" refers to any activity expected of someone joining or maintaining status in a group that humiliates, degrades, or risks emotional and/or physical harm, regardless of the person's willingness to participate.
Lake Shore Central School District is committed to the belief that abusive behavior does not build character, leadership, or loyalty. Hazing is a complex social problem shaped by power dynamics and is strictly prohibited in all forms—including physical abuse, personal servitude, and mental harassment.
