Data Protection Officer

Greetings!

In an effort to improve Lake Shore Central School District's network security, the privacy of our teachers' and students' personal identifiable information (PII), and our cyber security, New York State requires each school district to identify a Data Protection Officer (DPO). It was with great pleasure that I accepted this responsibility in July of 2023. Since working as the district's DPO, I have been working to implement the Education Law 2D requirements.

Additionally, the district has been working to develop and maintain alignment with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cyber Security Framework which includes:
