THE BOARD OF EDUCATION

The Board is a corporate body overseeing the district's affairs. As elected volunteers, the seven members are responsible for:

  • Establishing district-wide goals and vision.
  • Adopting and maintaining official Board Policy.
  • Developing and presenting the annual budget to voters.
  • Hiring and evaluating the Superintendent of Schools.

THE SUPERINTENDENT

Serving as the Chief Executive Officer, the Superintendent is responsible for the management of day-to-day operations and staff leadership:

  • Leading all instructional and non-instructional staff.
  • Implementing the policies adopted by the Board.
  • Advising the Board on financial and educational trends.
  • Overseeing the execution of the strategic plan.
