Lake Shore Expands Family Code Night to Grades 4-8; Event Moves to High School Esports Lab
ANGOLA, NY – In an effort to provide even more students with a "sneak peek" at high-level technology, Lake Shore Central School District has officially expanded the upcoming Family Code Night to include students in Grades 4 through 8.
The third installment of this popular series, held in partnership with TechBuffalo, is scheduled for Wednesday, April 22, 2026. To accommodate the expanded grade levels and ensure a premier technical experience, the event is moving from its previous location to the state-of-the-art Lake Shore High School Esports Lab (Room 216B).
A High-Powered Hardware Upgrade
By relocating to the Esports Lab, participating families will have access to high-performance computing stations designed for seamless, lag-free creativity. The move ensures that every student—whether they are a Fourth Grader exploring block-based coding for the first time or an Eighth Grader diving into more complex projects—has the tools necessary to succeed.
“We want our students to see exactly where their technology journey can lead them,” said District Director of Technology Michael Drezek. “Moving this session to the High School lab allows our younger students to experience one of the most innovative learning spaces in the district while working alongside their families.”
