Alternative Transportation Requests: Route Proccessing For Here Comes the Bus

ANGOLA, NY – The Lake Shore Central School District Transportation Department is reminding families who submitted an Application for Special Transportation Arrangements that route updates can take up to 5 days to process, especially for forms submitted close to the start of the school year.
Families who submitted a form on a Monday or Tuesday this week should expect the full processing window before their route change appears in Here Comes the Bus. This applies only to families requesting non-standard pickup or drop-off arrangements, such as childcare or split-schedule stops; families using standard home-to-school transportation do not need to take any action.
How to Get Set Up on Here Comes the Bus
Download: Free on the App Store or Google Play
District Code: 29788
Student ID: If the app asks for a 6-digit number, add a 0 to the front of your student's Student ID (for example, 12345 becomes 012345). High School and Middle School families can look up the ID on PowerSchool; Elementary families can call the Transportation Department or their school's main office.
Once a route update is processed, families will see it reflected in Here Comes the Bus, along with a live map of the bus and an alert as it approaches the stop. Questions about the app, or about a student's bus, route, or stop, can be directed to the Transportation Department at 716-926-2240 or transportation@lscsd.org.
