Lake Shore Observes Orange Shirt Day, Every Child Matters

ANGOLA, NY – On Wednesday, September 30, Lake Shore Central School District will join communities across the country in observing Orange Shirt Day, also known as Every Child Matters Day.
The day began in 2013 to honor Indigenous children and families affected by residential schools. It is a chance for the whole community to learn about this history and show support for the families it still affects today. Students, staff, and families across the district are invited to wear orange that day as a simple way to show they stand together.
