Lake Shore Students Participate in WNY Indigenous Education Advocacy Youth Summit

Lake Shore students took part in the Western New York Indigenous Education Advocacy Youth Summit, held at the Seneca Nation’s Cattaraugus Community Center in Irving.
The summit brought together students from districts across the region, including Salamanca, Gowanda, Silver Creek, Buffalo, Niagara-Wheatfield, and Akron. Participants engaged in conversations with colleges and organizations focused on higher education, leadership development, and opportunities for Indigenous youth.
Through interactive sessions and peer connections, students deepened their understanding of advocacy, representation, and cultural pride—skills that empower them to be leaders within their schools and communities.
