Highland Elementary Students Celebrate Thanksgiving with Joy and Community

Highland Elementary’s self-contained classrooms celebrated an early Thanksgiving lunch this week, bringing students together for a warm and joyful meal. The teaching staff prepared a full homemade Thanksgiving spread, creating a welcoming and festive atmosphere for everyone.
The celebration was made possible through the classrooms’ ongoing fundraising work. Over the past few years, the teams have organized T-shirt sales, pancake breakfasts, and other small fundraisers to support events like this and enhance classroom activities throughout the year. Their efforts help create meaningful moments that students look forward to.
The afternoon was full of smiles and laughter. A few students were especially excited to film slow-motion jumping videos, which captured the fun and energy of the day.
Huge shoutout to Mrs. Brese, Mrs. Anderson, and Ms. Guenot, and their incredible support staff who made this event possible. The students had a blast.
