Middle School EmpowerMEnt Club Packs Kindness into "Bad Day Bags"

ANGOLA, NY – Students in the Lake Shore Middle School EmpowerMEnt Club are proving that small gestures can spark significant change. The group recently gathered to assemble "Bad Day Bags," a student-led initiative designed to provide immediate comfort and encouragement to peers navigating difficult moments.
The "Bad Day Bags" contain various items intended to brighten a student's outlook and remind them of the supportive community surrounding them. By proactively identifying ways to help their classmates, EmpowerMEnt Club members are fostering a culture of empathy and peer-to-peer support within the middle school hallways.
"I'm not sure if these pictures are post-worthy or not," noted Sheri Caro, a club advisor, while sharing photos of the students hard at work. The result, however, clearly demonstrates the club's commitment to the Lake Shore community's well-being.
The EmpowerMEnt Club continues to be a vital outlet for students to develop leadership skills while prioritizing the mental and emotional health of their school family.
