Lake Shore Senior High School Inducts 32 Students into National Honor Society

A Tradition of Leadership in Angola
ANGOLA, NY – The Lake Shore Senior High School auditorium was filled with pride on April 29, 2026, as 32 students were officially inducted into the National Honor Society (NHS). The ceremony honored student-athletes and scholars who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the four pillars of the society: Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.
Master of Ceremonies and NHS President Elliott Catalano led the evening’s proceedings, which included the traditional candle-lighting ceremony. During the event, Vice President Kayla Friend, Secretary Caden Herc, and Treasurer Allison Strickler joined Catalano in explaining the rigorous standards required for membership. Each inductee took an oath to maintain these high ideals as they continue their journey at Lake Shore and beyond.
Superintendent Phil Johnson and the High School Administration praised the students for their dedication to the Angola community and their academic perseverance. Following the formal induction and oath, families and staff gathered for a reception in the High School Media Center to celebrate these achievements.
