  • The Varsity boys track and field team defeated Cheektowaga last night with a score of 84 to 57; many personal bests were achieved to solidify this win! The boys' 4 by 4 and 4 by 4 relays took first place. The distance boys Kole H, Charles, Aiden M, Aiden L, Caden H, Nick G and  Tyler P took places in our 800, mile and two mile runs. Sophomore Cole Kowalski took first in the pole vault attempting 10 feet while hurdles Ben M, Tommy S and Aidan M took second and third places in the hurdles. McHale Connors took first in the 400 and 2nd in the 200, and Roarke Sellers took third in the discus. Kaleb Corsi took second in the shot put and busted out his jumping spikes to get second in the triple jump! The team competes against Iroquois this Thursday at home, and it is our senior night followed by a presentation at Connors Hot Dog Stand. 

  • Congratulations to the boys' varsity track and field team as they kicked off their season this week with a win over West Seneca East with a score of 107 to 27. Many great times and distances led to our victory! Jake Buzinski was a quadruple winner taking first in the long jump, high jump, 100 and the 4 by 1 relay. Sophomore Kole Henry took first in the 800, the mile. Our 4 by 8, 4 by 4 and 4 by 1 relays all won, and sophomore Cole Kowalski took first in the pole vault. Hurdlers Ben Mauer and Tommy Smaldino took first and second in the 110 and 400 hurdles, and sophomore Kurran O'Connor took first in the 2 mile. McHale Connors took 2nd in the 400 with a time of 54 seconds while junior Tyler Gaul Sexton took first in the discus. The team heads to Dunkirk this Friday for its first invite of the season! 

  • 2020 graduate, Zach Evans, was selected by the Padres with the 270th pick of the 2024 MLB Draft!

  • Lake Shore Boys track and field team defeated Maryvale Tuesday night with a score of 89-52 placing the team in 2nd place in their division. The team had many personal bests to help clinch the victory. Seniors Cole M, Xander M and Jacob S took places in the pole, long jump and high jump. Senior Jake Hopkins reached new a new personal record in both the discus and the shot putt. Sophomores Jake B and McHale scored in the long jump, and Jake also took second in the high jump clearing 5'10. Senior Joey "Laces" Lovett ran a 55 in the 400 meter, and Aidan L took first in the 800 meter. Freshman Owen S cleared 7'6 in the pole vault, and Tommy S ran a 17.1 in the 110 hurdles. The team heads to ECICs this weekend at Depew where about 20 LS athletes will continue on! 

  • Lake Shore Boys Track and Field defeated Cheektowaga on Tuesday, May 7th with a score of 84-57. Many athletes gave great performances to achieve this victory. Jumpers Cole M and Jake took points in the long and triple jump. Sophomore Jake B reached a new PR in the high jump clearing 5'10. Vaulters Jake S and Kaelan L took second and third in the pole vault. Freshman Tommy S took second in the 110 hurdles running a new personal time of 17.3 Senior Jake H took second in both the shot and discus, and Kaleb C took third in shot. Shout out to our distance boys who did not give any points to Cheektowaga winning the 4x8 relay, 800, mile and two mile. Kudos to London N, Kole H, Aidan L, Charles D and Caden H.  New personal bests were achieved by Drake C, Kyle M, Dylan C, James M, Cooper H, Kurran O and Nick F. The team celebrated senior night and recognized the class of 2024; these athletes are: Maya Bauer, Sina Mayer, Jake Hopkins, Jacob Siegel, Cole Merecki, Joey Lovett, Xander Mauer, Drake Connors and London Nikolai.

  • The Girls JV Volleyball team started the season against a tough opponent, Williamsville South. The girls played well but were unable to overcome South, losing 1 game to 2. They play again on Friday, at Springville. Good luck!

     

  • Congratulations to the wrestlers for taking down Tonawanda 54-18. Blake Hageman, Christopher Gray, Brennen Rice, Vinny Marszlak all won by pin. Scott Mackey, Lucas Clear, Alexiya Thuman, Dallas Garllow, and Andrew Houghson all earned forfeits. They wrestle this weekend at Penfield! Go eagles!

  • The Girls JV Volleyball team earned their fifth straight sweep last night, improving their record to 5-0. Setter Alyse Coyle spread the ball around to her hitters earning 12 assists. Caprina Percori had a nice game, serving her way to 6 aces and Ilyssa Gengler played well along the net leading the team with 5 kills. Defensively, Quinn Maybee led the way with 14 digs and Laelle Jimerson had a nice debut, earning 6 digs.

     

  • The depth of the team in all events enabled the boys to win meets and qualify for both ECIC and Sectional meets. over 20 athletes qualified for ECICs and Sectionals. Five athletes placed in the top five and earned patches at the Section VI meet. Max Zielonka placed 2nd in the triple jump, Simon Connors placed 3rd in the triple jump and 1st place in the 100 meter dash, Blake Hageman placed 3rd in the pole vault, and freshman Braeann Stender placed 1st in the 100 hurdles. First-placing athletes, Simon Connors (junior) and Brae Stender (freshman), qualified for the New York State Track and Field Championship Meet held last weekend in North Syracuse, and each achieved new personal records. Connors even beat the school record for the 100 meter dash by a running 10.7 (previously held by 2015 graduate, Michael Roach who ran a 10.9). Congratulations to the team and to these individual athletes for their success and for making Lake Shore proud!

  • The Boys Varsity Track Team completed an undefeated season this year as Division Champs and took first place as a team at the ECIC meet at Pioneer this past weekend. The team hopes to win the Class B Meet this weekend at Falconer High School as well as qualify for the NYS Sectional Meet on June 3rd. The team is coached by coaches Charles Kowalkski, Trisha Sills, Sean Kunkel and Jeff Connors. Congratulations to the team, and we wish them well as they continue on with the season!   • Girls Varsity Track and Field defeat Maryvale 117-23 going 3-1 on the season and finishing second in the division. Triple Winners Hailey Kliszak and Tia Styles. Double winners Jill Guziec and Sam Sargent. Individual wins from Ava Lawn and Trinnity Palmer. Scoring crucial varsity points for the team were Daiya Kowalski, Dakota Familio, Brittney Freebern and Stevie Seneca. 

  • Congratulations to the boys track and field team for defeating Maryvale last night with a score of 81-60 MAKING YOUR EAGLES THE UNDEFEATED DIVISION CHAMPTIONS!!! This was our most challenging meet of the season, and although Maryvale took all 3 relays, your Eagles prevailed in the individual jumps and runs! Many, many new personal bests were achieved allowing athletes to get sprinkles on their cones last night. At this time however, we would like to officially recognize our 16 seniors who competed in their last home meet last night. Congratulations to seniors: Elizabeth Deganarrs, Brittany Freebern, Hailey Kliszak, Jillian Guziek, Abigail Coventry, Ava Waterman, Nina Wholf, Tristan McMahon, Zach Gallman, Sean Robinson, Tyler Schott, Casey Taylor, Ethan Taylor, Dante Salatka, Brandon Skalzkowski and last but not least, our most experienced member, Mr. Michael Nowak who had a personal best in the long jump last night! Thank you for being great role models for your younger teammates!

  • Thursday 5/12/22 game vs Cheektowaga

    Defense was the name of the game... Ilyssa Grengler tossed a 1 hitter against the Warriors. She allowed 1 run only 3 walks with 10 strikes outs!!!!

    Friday 5/13/22 vs Springville

    The bats came alive on Friday the 13th in a big way. Emalee Barratt scored 3 times had 1 hit drew 3 walks and had 4 stolen bases and did great behind the plate. Olivia Shepard scored 3 times with 2 hits 2 rbis and 3 walks. Payton Michael scored 2 times 1 hits 3 rbis. Delaney Masullo scored 2 times had 1 hit with 3 rbis.....

    Giving the Eagles a 25-11 win giving the Eagles a record of 4-1-1 on the season. Next up at home on Tuesday vs Depew....

  • Congratulations to the boys track and field team for defeating Springville last Thursday. LS defeated Springville 106-35. The 4 by 8, 4 by 4 and 4 by 1 relays all took first places, again. Senior Sean Robinson took first in the 2 mile, and Blake Hageman took first in the pole vault with Dante and Jacob Segal behind him. Simon Connors and Max Zelonka took first and second in the 200, and triple jumps, Tyler S in the 800 and mile, Throwers Casey Taylor, Zach G, Ethan T and Tristan M earned places and points in the shot and discus. Tony Bates took 1st again in the 110 and 400 hurdles. New Personal bests were gained by Dom Cadin, Thomas Martin and Marty Castle and hurdlers Ben Mauer, Enoch Hernandez, John B Zoll, and Eddie Jasinski! The team faces rival for 1st place, Maryvale, at home this Tuesday, and it is senior night, too! So come support your Eagles and class of 2022 seniors at 5PM!

  • Congratulations to the boys track and field team for defeating the Depew Wildcats yesterday. LS defeated Depew 119-22 The 4 by 8, 4 by 4 and 4 by 1 relays all took first places. Junior Max Z too first in the high jump, and the 200, Simon C took first in the long and triple jumps, Tyler S in the 800 and mile, London N in the 2 mile, Blake H and Dante S took first and second in the pole vault, throwers Casey Taylor, Zach G, Ethan T and Tristan M earned places and points in the shot and discus. The team welcomes new teammate and student, Tony Bates, who took first in both the 110 and 400 hurdles.  New Personal bests were gained by Ben M. Marty C, Aiden K, Joey L, Enoch H and Eddie J! The team heads to Mrs. Fultz’s alma mater, Springville, this Thursday!

  • Modified Softball continue winning streak and Boys Tennis Play Pioneer

    The Eagles were strong at the bats yesterday with a win over Maryvale 20-9 keeping the undefeated season going....

    Drew Chaplin led the way going 2-3 with a triple, a walk and 4 RBIs, scored 3 times and  she also had 5 put outs at shortstop. Olivia Shepard went 2-2 with a homerun, 2rbis, scored 3 times and a walk. Chloe McCallum was 2-3 with a triple, 2rbis, scored 2 times and had 4 put outs on defense.... next up is Pioneer Tuesday at home......

     

    The Boys Varsity Tennis team hosted Pioneer and unfortunately came up short last night.  Forcing a third set at First Singles and coming away with an individual win was Matt Dunmire.  Strong play also came from Second Singles player John Dunmire and Third Singles player Jacob Bevilacqua.  We will host Cheektowaga on Monday.

     

  • On Friday January 21st the Indoor Track meet which included 42 teams competing lake Shore had the following wins, Sophomore Maya Bauer won the pole vault and Samantha Sargent placed 3rd. Tyler Schott placed 11th out of 63 runners. Great job EAGLES!

  • LS wins vs Eden 42-24. Lucas Clear earns pin in the first. Others w/6 are Brennen Rice, Thomas Martin, Dylan Gavigan, Ethan Taylor, Andrew Houghson, & Ricky Andres. Alexiya Thuman wrestled last night coming from behind to win 10-9. Brennen Rice helps the team with 6 points earned. Dallas Hageman earns a pin as well. The team will be competing in the ECIC tournament this weekend. Go Eagles!

     

  • On Friday the boys' swim team hosted Cleveland Hill. The meet came down to the last realy for a Lake Shore win! Tyler Schott qualified for ECICs in the 100 free and took first place. Casey Taylor took first place in both his 200 and 500 Free. Wyatt Mack added two PR's as well as Josh Merrett Jacob Siegel, Carter Sterner and Rob Zuidema. The team a whole came together with every swimmer improving! The Eagles took first place in all but two events. The team finished with a total of 20 Personnel Records. The team will travel to Holland Tuesday and will have their senior meet on Thursday!

     

  • On Friday, December 10th the Boys Varsity Swim team hosted their first home meet of the season vs. Cheektowaga. The Eagles placed first in 7 of 10 events, earning their second win. Casey Taylor, and Josh Merrrett led the way with Firsts in the 50 and 100 Free as well as both relays. Every Eagle added points in the meet. Carter Sterner and Jacob Siegel had huge swims as they continue to improve each meet. The team finished the meet with 21 personal best swims. The team will travel to East Aurora on Tuesday for their next meet.

    Congratulations to the wrestlers that competed at the North Tonawanda Invitational. Champions were Ricky Andres, Lucas Clear, and Alexiya Thuman. Christopher Gray took second and Brennen Rice placed 3rd. Go Eagles!

  • The Varsity Swim team traveled to Pioneer yesterday and came out on top 48-46 in a tough meet. Casey Taylor, Josh Merritt and Tyler Schott led the way for the Eagles taking 3 First and 1 Second place finishes each. Huge swims were turned in by Jacob Siegal, Wyatt Mack, Sean Robinson, Carter Strener, Mike Nowak, Luis Link and Robert Zuidema. The team finished the meet with 35 personal best times.
